The Rimantas Kaukėnas Charity Group brought families together this summer at a joyful festival. During the event, participants had the chance to meet the foundation’s heroes and enjoy exclusive activities. One of the highlights was the introduction of a completely new family game, reported by the news portal Delfi.
Children had fun bouncing on various trampolines provided by the trampoline rental company Xfun.lt. In addition, Albina and Rokas, the organizers of the new family game, introduced children to this fresh activity that requires no prior physical preparation or special clothing. A family tournament was held during the festival, where large fields featured “hidden” pits into which players had to hit the ball.
“We are very happy that this year we can continue to share kindness, contribute to a family celebration, bring the community together, and unite people. In this way, we want to give families positivity and togetherness, while offering children a little miracle – a happier day outdoors full of fun – and become part of creating it,” Rokas told the news portal.
Summer fun and food prepared outdoors
During the festival, delicious food was prepared outside, along with many cheerful activities. From early in the morning, participants enjoyed an ice cream cart, popcorn, and inflatable trampolines. Of course, the main highlight was the family game tournament, followed by a pillow fight that brought great joy to the children. Their faces, hair, and clothes were decorated with colorful powder, which also brightened the group photos. The day was warm and sunny, so everyone could enjoy the foam slide leading directly into the lake.
“Seeing the children’s smiles, their involvement and curiosity – this is the best proof that such events are meaningful and needed. Our goal is not only to provide support but also to create joyful moments that inspire,” said the foundation’s founder, Rimantas Kaukėnas.
The Rimantas Kaukėnas Charity Group has been active since 2012, supporting Lithuanian children with oncological diseases. The foundation’s mission is to ease the burden for children and families facing life-threatening illnesses, to help them cope with the trauma of a serious diagnosis and long recovery, and to bring light into children’s lives by fulfilling their dreams. With the help of donors, the group provides children with essential medical equipment, non-reimbursed medicines, and assistance in carrying out vital treatments and surgeries.
